Erika Pierson

Administrative Law Judge
 
Erika Pierson has been an Administrative Law Judge with the Office of Administrative Hearings since December 2006. 
 
Prior to joining the office Judge Pierson served as the Deputy General Counsel and Acting General Counsel for the District of Columbia Public Schools (DCPS) and the DC Board of Education. Prior to joining DCPS, Judge Pierson spent eight years prosecuting child abuse and neglect with the DC Office of the Attorney General and was Chief of the Child Abuse & Neglect Section. 
 
Judge Pierson started her career as an Assistant State’s Attorney with the Cook County State’s Attorneys Office in Chicago in both the Criminal Appeals and Juvenile Divisions.
 
Judge Pierson received her JD from Northern Illinois University and is a member of the District, Maryland, and Illinois bar associations. She received her bachelors degree from Grinnell College.
