Ann C. Yahner
Principal Administrative Law Judge
Ann C. Yahner has been an administrative law judge with the District of Columbia Office of Administrative Hearings since 2004.
Prior to joining the Office of Administrative Hearings, Judge Yahner was a partner in the Washington, DC, office of Cohen, Milstein, Hausfeld & Toll. She joined the firm in 1982. She specialized in antitrust class action litigation on behalf of plaintiffs in federal courts around the country. She served as lead counsel, co-lead counsel or chair/co-chair of discovery in a variety of complex antitrust cases including In re Vitamins Antitrust Litig., MDL 1285 (D.D.C.); Commercial Explosives Antitrust Litig., MDL 1093 (D. Utah); High Fructose Corn Syrup Antitrust Litig., MDL 1087 (C.D. Ill.). Judge Yahner has spoken extensively on class actions and litigation issues.
Judge Yahner joined the US Department of Justice after law school through the Honor Graduates program and was an attorney in the Antitrust Division.
Judge Yahner received her JD from Harvard Law School in 1979. She graduated with honors and Phi Beta Kappa in 1971 from Wellesley College. She is a member of the American Law Institute, the American Bar Association and the Women's Bar Association of the District of Columbia.
